About a Break-Up Ch. 1

     “Oh wow, that show was awesome last night!”
     “I know! Everyone was jumping around and singing along. It was so amazing!”
     “Amazing is an understatement dude.”
     “Good point.”
     “Have any of you seen Dom anywhere?” Tessa asked. Tessa, was the personal chef of 3D, the hottest band in the country at the moment. 3D consisted of Dominic Rago, his twin brother Damien, and Darrin Backus. “Because I have pancakes here that are getting cold!” Tessa exclaimed. She always hated it when the boys never ate her food.
     “Dude's probably still asleep.” Damien answered.
     “Is is safe to sleep as much as he does?” Darrin wondered out loud.
     Damien looked at Darrin and rolled his eyes. Darrin was definitely the slow one of the group at times... well most of the time... actually, he was always slow.
     “Well, he better get up soon, we have to leave soon to do some press stuff .” Damien replied. As if on cue a sleepy Dominic came wondering into the the large kitchen of the large Malibu house. His dark, dark brown hair (that some would call black) was a mess. Half was sticking straight up and the other half was going in every direction possible. He sat down at the table in the kitchen.
     “Dude, dude, I'm going to ask him a question!” Darrin whispered to Damien. “Dom!” He exclaimed.
     “Wha?” Dominic asked as he turned his head towards the voice.
     “Where can I find the north star?” He asked him.
     “It depends on what direction you are looking and facing at the time... it also depends on... what was the question again?” He asked. 'Morning Person' was one thing that didn't describe Dominic Rago.
     Tessa rolled her eyes and came up behind Dominic. She placed a travel coffee tumbler down in front of him. “You are useless without your coffee in the morning.” She muttered as she walked away. As much as she loved working for 3D there were times when they just got on her nerves a little.
     “Dom? Dom? Dominic Erick!” Damien yelled at his brother to grab his attention.
     “What?” Dominic asked still half asleep as he grabbed his hot drink and sipped it.
     “You need to get ready dude!” Damien informed his brother. “The limo is going to be here in like ten minuets.”
     “What limo? What for?” He asked as he felt himself drifting back to dream land.
     “The limo to take us to the radio station for the interview.” Damien answered in a duh tone. He hated dealing with is brother on mornings when they were short on time.
     “Wha---WHAT!?” Dominic exclaimed now being fully awake and aware of the fact that his hair was a mess and he was still in his pajamas which consisted of red flannel plaid pants and a white t-shirt. “Why didn't anyone wake me up!?” He yelled as he jumped up from his chair and ran upstairs to get dressed for the day.
     “We tried.” Darrin said after Dominic had left, “Didn't we?”
     Damien smacked his forehead. “I think, in high school, you played football one too many times without a helmet.” He answered Darrin.
     Darrin opened his mouth as if he was going to say something then closed it. He then opened it again and closed it yet again. “What do you mean by that?” He finally asked.
     Damien hit head again just as Dominic reentered the room.
     He spun around on his heel. “How do I look?” He asked in a jock tone of voice. He was wearing a leather jacket over a plain white t-shirt (that was missing the coffee stain that was present on his pajama shirt) dark wash, loose jeans, and solid black shoes. His hair was also perfect.
     Damien looked at his brother, a look of shock plastered on his face. “Since when do you get ready in five minuets?”
     “I was pressured for time.” Dominic replied back, “Give some more credit bro.” He grabbed his blue tumbler off the table and took a sip from it. “Amazing coffee Tessa!” He told her. Tessa nodded and continued to wash the dishes which she had started.
     Damien looked at his brother and rolled his eyes. He sometimes wondered how he got Dominic for a brother. They were just so different. One was care free and, as some might describe him, absolutely crazy and the other one, on the other hand, was more serious and reserved. Yet, Dominic and Damien where best friends and nothing could ever change that... not even her.
     The guys of 3D never mentioned her name. The break up between Dominic and her was horrible. A fight. A fight was what caused it. Dominic certainly didn't remember what had happened between the two now. He doubted she even remembered. He just remembered that it was terrible. It consisted of yelling at each and slamming locker doors. It happened during senior year of high school and ended with her throwing his class ring at his head. It was a shock to everyone when word got out that the two had broken up seeing as they were inseparable during the time they were together. Maybe that's what happened... maybe they had just spent too much time together. Damien knew one thing though, the break up crushed his brother and he swore he would never forgive her for breaking his brother's heart.
     Damien was drawn out of his walk down memory lane when he felt a buzz in his pocket. He reached in and pulled out his phone. He flipped it open and read the text message he had just received. “The limo is here.” He told his band mates who were bickering over what was a better flavoring for coffee, caramel or vanilla. The two stopped bickering and followed Dominic out to the limo, knowing nothing of the surprise that would come in a few days.
