At first I thought it might have been about a friend or crush/boyfriend who moved away, but as the song progressed I could see the connection was much more deep and meaningful. I'm glad you included the background information. All in all, I think you did a great job with these, it's very sweet and I can't seem to figure out how to explain it...but I really connect to the words because my Grandmother died almost exactly one year ago...it just, I think, expresses the reasoning I do in my head, things I'd tell her and such...
